Summer InstitutesEach summer, HAHS will offer a three-day professional development opportunity for 3rd and 4th grade teachers. The Summer Institute will feature scholars, historians, local history demonstrators, and master teachers who will feature scholars, historicans, local history demonstrators, and master teachers who will present topics in local and state history, as well as methods for classroom teaching. The 2007 Crossroads Summer Institute will take place on June 26, 27 and 28, 2007. Registration information is sent to Castro Valley, Hayward, and San Lorenzo schools in May.
